RECOVERING WINE-GROWING HERITAGE
With the arrival of spring, nature awakens and offers us the opportunity to renew our vineyards. This April, we are excited to announce the planting of two hectares of vineyards on our estate, within the Empordà Designation of Origin. The varieties are Cariñena Roja and Grenache Blanc, two native gems that we are recovering to strengthen our winemaking heritage.
This winter’s rains have left the soils well-nourished, creating ideal conditions for the new plants to begin their vegetative cycle with vigor. This investment in traditional varieties reflects our commitment to the identity and winemaking history of our region.

Process
First, the land must be prepared: stones, roots and any element that could hinder the growth of the vines are removed. Once clean, it is ploughed and natural manure is spread to enrich the soil and ensure that it has the necessary nutrients.

The planting is done with the help of a special tractor. This opens the irrigation as it advances, and two people work at the same time: one places the cane and the other the vine, depending on the variety chosen. The same machine buries the vine as it advances, leaving it perfectly planted.
It is a process that requires coordination, effort and passion. This is how a vineyard begins: with work well done and a lot of excitement for what is to come.
White Grenache: ELEGANCE AND VERSATILITY IN ONE GRAPE
White Grenache is a variety originating from the northeast of Spain, especially prominent in the DO Terra Alta. The wines of this variety are recognized for their pale yellow color with greenish reflections. On the aromatic level, they offer floral notes, white stone fruit and citrus touches. On the palate, they are full-bodied, with moderate acidity and a sensation of unctuousness that makes them very pleasant.
Cariñena Roja: THE HIDDEN JEWEL OF THE EMPORDÀ
Carignan roja is a variety that, despite being documented since the 19th century, has been little cultivated until recently. The wines made with this variety are characterized by an intense color and a robust body. On the nose, they offer aromas of candied fruit, with notes of ripe fruit that add complexity. On the palate, they present a balanced acidity that provides freshness, making them unique and distinctive.
